Genikai Limited (“Genikai,” “we,” “us”) is a technology company serving clients globally. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website (genikai.com), why we collect it, and how we handle it. Work we do for clients is governed by the agreement for that engagement; where it involves personal data, that agreement and the client’s own policies apply.
What we collect
Information you send us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you choose to send: typically your name, email address, organisation, and your message.
Technical information. Our hosting and security providers record standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to keep the site running and to detect abuse. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.
Anti-spam checks. The contact form uses automated checks to filter spam. These may process your IP address and browser characteristics for that purpose only.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and to hold a conversation you started.
- To keep the site secure and available.
- To meet legal obligations, or to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not use your information for marketing unless you have asked us to keep in touch, and you can withdraw that at any time by writing to us.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the site and read our mail: hosting, email delivery, and spam protection. They process data on our instructions. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the site are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short, rolling period. If you ask us to delete what we hold about you, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
International visitors
We serve clients globally, and our service providers operate in more than one country. By using the site you understand that your information may be processed in a country other than your own. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is processed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@genikai.com.
Cookies
The site sets only the cookies needed for it to function and for the anti-spam checks on the contact form. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
